Social Media Coordinator
Persist Publicity is hiring a part-time social media coordinator to support day-to-day social media operations, strategy and execution for the agency and its clients. Persist Publicity is a small, woman-owned firm that serves entrepreneurs, small businesses and mission-driven organizations in the Denver Metro area, with a mission of sharing stories that matter.
In this role, the social media coordinator will help with content capture, creation and editing; copywriting; platform scheduling and management; and other duties to be assigned. They will also participate in client meetings and discussions, brainstorming sessions and campaign analysis. This role will work closely with and support our current social media strategist.
Platforms: Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn required; TikTok experience a plus.
Tasks and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Capture digital photo and video content
Content creation and editing
Copywriting, with the ability to adapt tone/voice across different client brands
Platform management including posting and community engagement
Content calendar management including planning and scheduling
Building and maintaining client asset folders including asset collection and organization
Analytics reporting: pulling engagement/reach data and summarizing for clients
Participate in client meetings (virtually and in person), brainstorming sessions and campaign analysis
Other research, duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required skills and qualifications:
Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills
Familiarity with newswriting and AP style
Strong time management and organizational skills
Basic understanding of platform analytics/insights (Meta Business Suite, Instagram/LinkedIn native analytics)
Comfort working across multiple client brand voices
Reliable transportation for in-person shoots/meetings
Video editing app familiarity (CapCut, Edits, etc.)
Experience and/or education in digital marketing, marketing, public relations, communications or related field
Required tools:
Access to reliable computer and internet for the performance of daily job duties
A high-quality smartphone (iPhone or similar) for content capture
Experience with Google Suite products (docs, sheets, etc.)
Canva license provided by Persist Publicity; no other paid software required
Job-type: Part-time, independent contractor (1099)
Hours: 10-15 hours per week (flexible work hours)
Hourly rate: $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience
Work location: This position is mostly remote with some in-person work in the Denver Metro area. Must be based in or near Denver, Colorado.
Start date: August 10, 2026
